Lessons of the Holocaust: What We Learn and What We Don’t

The Horrors of the Holocaust/Shoah are quite well known, but what about the “Why?” and “How?” questions? How do groups commit such atrocities? The study of societies and religions and cultures is crucial for understanding our world and its people.

Speakers Expertise:

James E. Bowley is a professor of religious studies at Millsaps College. He received his Ph.D. in Hebrew studies from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. He is a noted editor of the Dead Sea Scrolls concordance project. Professor Bowley speaks regularly on a wide range of topics that draw from his expertise in ancient religions.
