On October 23, the Ocean Springs Municipal Library and the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center will host a free and open to the public program about Jefferson Davis’s home, Beauvoir, and its post-Katrina restoration. Jay Peterson, curator at Beauvior in Biloxi, will lead the presentation. See and hear about the process of restoration on the property and the main house after a life-changing storm. Peterson will address architectural restoration, water damage to artifacts, and more. See how this important landmark was brought back to life!
Exhibit hours are Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm and Friday-Saturday 10am-4pm. School and group visits are welcome but are encouraged to schedule a visit by contacting the library in advance at 228-875-1193.
