Join us for a screening of “Hollow Tree” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums.
This documentary follows the story of three teenagers coming of age in their homeplace of Louisiana. Their different perspectives—as Indigenous, White, and Angolan young women—shape their story of the climate crisis when they first witnessed the Mississippi River’s increased engineering, stumps of cypress trees, and polluting refineries.
Part of the Southern Circuit, this program is sponsored by the Mississippi Humanities Council and the Mississippi Film Office.
After the movie, there will be a panel discussion and audience Q & A.
Sunday Screenings are free and open to the public!
