On October 23, join the Mississippi Humanities Council at Hal and Mal’s-Jackson, MS for “Ideas on Tap: Why Don’t We Vote?”

The October 23 program, which will take place in preparation for the November 6th elections, will focus on the relationship between voters and the voting process, who does (or does not) vote and why, the historical context of voter engagement, and how we can increase voter engagement in the future. Panelists include Arekia Bennett (Mississippi Votes); Kim Pine Turner (Mississippi Secretary of State); and Dr. Nathan R. Shrader (Millsaps College). Jake McGraw (Rethink Mississippi) will moderate.
