It is often easy to overlook or disregard the impact that jazz has on our society. For as long as music has existed, it has served various roles including but not limited to provide entertainment, celebrate, mourn, meditation, etc. This presentation will focus on establishing the connection between the stylistic and performance practice impact of jazz on modern music.
