Art, History, & Dialogue

April 3 @ 3:30 pm - April 4 @ 4:30 pm

Join an open discussion on race and history inspired by Mikael Levin’s photography.

Mikael Levin: Barn. Cherry Grove Plantation. Adams County, Mississippi. 2021. The Second Creek Conspiracy of 1861

On April 3 and 4 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Alcorn State University’s Belles Lettres Hall, we’re co-hosting a conversation and art exhibition to discuss race and history.

Coinciding with the launch of Mikael Levin’s exhibition “Critical Places: Sites of American Slave Rebellion,” the facilitated dialogue circle will provide space for discussions with a focus on deep listening, storytelling, and radical empathy.

This is a collaborative effort with Alcorn State University Southwest Mississippi Center for Culture and Learning and the Mississippi Humanities Council!
