Jackson State University welcomes Angie Thomas, author of The Hate U Give to speak in a community forum on March 1, 2018. She will engage her audience in dialogue on social justice issues presented in the novel that specifically address the audience, and will take place in the Jackson State University Student Center Theatre. Thomas will also lead a workshop with creative writing students, discussing the process for successful publication.
