Dr. Carolyn J. Brown is a writer, editor, and biographer. She has published several notable biographies such as A Daring Life: A Biography of Eudora Welty, Song of My Life: A Biography of Margaret Walker, and The Artist’s Sketch: A Biography of Painter Kate Freeman Clark. In addition to her biographies, she has also published numerous essays and articles. Dr. Brown’s most recent book, A de Grummond Primer: Highlights of the Children’s Literature Collection, was published in April 2021.
