Walter Anderson- Sojouner

Mississippi artist Walter Anderson lived a life full of visual imagery, great literature, history, and music. Not only did he absorb the richness of the world around him, he gave much of that beauty back in his drawings, paintings and poetry. The speaker gives a short overview of the periods of his work from his school years and early professional life in Ocean Springs, his farming years at Oldfields, and the years of the mature artist who found his fulfillment in the wildness of the Mississippi Sound barrier islands. The presentation includes a slide display of Anderson’s work as well as his poetry.
