Foodways in Mississippi

From humble beginnings of cooking and eating at home, Mississippians have evolved a culinary tradition and several well-known food traditions like Comeback Sauce, Tamales in the Delta, the Slug Burger, Catfish, and “pressed” PoBoys along the coast.  This talk covers our humble agrarian roots to the high profile Southern Foodways Allicance at the University of Mississippi to the many eateries statewide and James Beard Awards winner.
