“Chimneyville,” The Destruction of Jackson, MS during the Civil War, Fact or Myth!

This presentation lays out the facts pertinent to what happened during the four occupations of the city by Federal forces during the Civil War.

Speakers Expertise:

H. Grady Howell is a Civil War author and historian and has published twenty-two works covering Mississippi and the Civil War. He holds both B.A. and M.A. degrees in History from Southeastern Louisiana University as well as diplomas in Archive from the National Archives (Washington, D.C.) and Emory University-Georgia Department of Archives and History (Atlanta, GA).
